Our efficiencies save our customer's money.Prior customers especially, have learned that even though New York CityMoving Company's rates are not the lowest to be found in New York , our efficiency in expediting a move saves them enough chargeable time to more than compensate for lower rates that other movers might charge. They have experienced firsthand, how well and quickly we do a job and they know that our efficiencies resulted in cost savings for them compared to what the lower rate movers inefficiencies and damages would have cost them. Cheapest is not always the best! When a mover has lower rates it usually means that they are employing inexperienced help, at low wages, who will not do jobs very well and who might damage goods, thus costing a customer more than anything they would save paying lower rates. In any service business you get what you pay for. Like the proverbial grandmother tells us, whatever starts out looking the cheapest usually ends up becoming the most expensive! Our moving personnel all use the hump strap to save our customers labor costs. Our men utilize the hump strap to carry multiple boxes at once. This saves trips and thus saves the customer labor money. They also put the strap around and/or under big pieces so they don't have to bend over to lift them or carry them on stairs. This prevents damages and saves time. Some moving companies do not allow their crews to use the hump strap because they know how efficient it makes the men and they know it will decrease the customer's bill. Our crews utilize the speed pack box to expedite moves in elevator buildings.
On high-rise elevator building jobs we use big gondola speed pack boxes (at no extra charge) that sit on a dolly. These are used to efficiently carry many small items all at once with less elevator trips, thus speeding up the job and saving the customers money. Some movers we know of refuse to let their men use the speed pack because they know that it speeds up the job and reduces the customers bill.
